Columbus Day

Christopher Columbus arrived at the Americas on October 12, 1492. Over 500 years later we still recognize this momentous event with the observance of Columbus Day.

Although Columbus Day has been celebrated unofficially since the colonial period it only became a federal holiday in the United States in 1937. Across the United States, the way Columbus Day is now celebrated varies greatly. Some do nothing for the holiday while many others have grand parades and ceremonies in remembrance of the day our country was discovered.

Kasen & Kasen would like to wish all of our Blog followers a Happy Columbus Day.
